Banjaran Crocker

The mountainous Crocker Range covers a vast 1,300 over kilometers and found in Sabah, North Borneo. It acts as a border between the West and East Coast of the island. The Crocker Range Park is home to an array of Borneo’s birds and mammals, some of which are endemic and can be found only in Borneo.

This magnificient mass of forest is named after William Maunder Crocker in the 1800s when he was British Administrator to North Borneo.

My frequent drives up the Tamparuli - Kundasang road permits me to see the immensely breathtaking view of Banjaran Crocker, which has made this one of my favourite routes to get to different parts of Sabah by road.
